Wow, so it's been over three years since I've written a journal. I just went back and looked at everything in my gallery, especially now that I know I am much more talented with literary arts than visual arts. I looked back on the poetry I wrote a long time ago when I was so young. I expected to find nothing but trite, incomplete, sentimental youthful poetry and the like. And believe me, I found some of that. But I was really surprised by the amount of poetry I had written that was actually pretty good. It's been so long I had forgotten I had written a lot of it, and it blew me away that some of that had come out of me at such a young age. Let this be a lesson to myself: never destroy anything you create 'cause your opinion may very well change about it and reveal things you never knew were there.
